Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me.
My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side. Thanks for stopping by!
Time for another great challenge at Crafty Cardmakers. The theme of the challenge is pearls and/or gems. I used a pretty fairy rubber stamp from a Canadian company called Enchanted Hallow Rubber stamps. The stamp is called Crystal. I used copics for the colouring then added a Wink of Stella along with the pearls to give the card some glitter.
Hope you will join us this week. Remember to pop over to the Crafty Cardmakers blog to see the inspiring cards of a our talented design team, Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.
I coloured the cute bird image with my Copics, added a couple of sentiments from my stash. I added Diamond glaze on my rain drops and puddle. The beads were made from papers and fibers from in my stash.
Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.
My idea for this art journal page was some papers I had made using CitraSolv and National Geographic pages. I love the way the CitraSolv alters the images and makes these unusual pages. I thought these pages I made were ideal for my art journal page. You can find more information about CitraSolv on my Pinterest site here.
My image was coloured with Copics, pencil crayon and white gelly roll pen.

Time for another challenge at Crafty CardMakers. The theme of the challenge is Things that Fly.
I used a die and stamp from a recent set called Dragonfly Dreams by Stampin Up. I used Brusho on Yupo paper for the background of the card and Brusho on watercolour paper for the dragonfly. I also added Wink of Stella to my dragonfly and some gems to my lacy die cut.

Time for another great challenge at Creative Artiste this month. Your project must be mixed media and your project maybe a card, tag, ATC, altered art ... as long as it fits the challenge specifications.
We have a wonderful sponsor this month, DecoArt. DecoArt has a wide variety of Mixed Media products. I have used a few in my project.
I decided to make a canvas using a picture of my hubby and I on vacation a few years ago. We were in Mexico listening to music and having a good time. Love the Mexican bright colours.
I used a lot of product on my canvas including the following
Variety of older rubber stamps
Tim Holtz tissue paper
Acrylic Gesso (DecoArt)
Acrylic Paint (DecoArt)
Texture Sand Paste (DecoArt)
